Janet is a unique jeweler in that she is also a clinical Exercise Physiologist, that started and ran Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab and Health Promotions at Tahoe Forest Hospital for over 25 years. Janet established nationally recognized programs that have been duplicated by other hospitals and healthcare organizations from Beijing China to Munich Germany and across the U.S. and Canada. Janet also directed fundraising operations and wellness retreats, where she found a great deal of success.
After juggling working in healthcare full time and in her jewelry store in her free time, for over fifteen years, Janet decided to retire from healthcare and commit fully to Double Diamond Jewelry. This decision was not easy for her and she found herself creatively finding new ways to incorporate healthcare into her jewelry.
Janet created her one of a kind ‘EKG collection’ in honor of heart health and her passion for education and fundraising. Janet’s ‘EKG collection’ is unique in that each one is completely customizable, made exact to an individual's real EKG reading.
By creating this collection Janet found a way to connect her love for healthcare and jewelry. This collection has been a great success in her store and among heart foundations she is currently partnered with.
